I had not been working for about 6 months since April 2010 and It was very hard time for me to face all the obstacles from that time period. By the way I'm still be patient and pray to the Al - Mighty Allah s.w.t that one day I would become a good leader to any Company that would be chosen by HIM. It was on the 25th. of August 2010, I had been called by my old Colleuages from my old Company - Mechanalysis in which I was a Technical Executive overthere for about 5 years since 1997 till 2001; he had invited me to join JRM Services Sdn. Bhd. as Facilities Manager at Parcel B Sites - Jabatan Perdana Menteri Complex starting from September 2010.
During from that time period i.e September 2010 till to date (January 2011), I had faced so many obstacles and challenges especially to lead the management team - Quality Manager, Environmental Management Representatives, Safety Manager, Risk Management Executive, Engineers' (Mechanical, Electrical & Civil) and all the Supervisors' and Technicians'.
Since I was joined this company - JRM Services Sdn. Bhd. on the 1st. of September 2010, there are a lot of things had not properly being in order and alhamdulillah thanks to God that had given me a full strength to lead this Facilites Management at Parcel B, Prime Minister Complex in a proper way and full swing to make it work better than beforehand.
Coincidently on the 8th. of November 2010, our Facilities Management had just got their new Risk Management Executive since from the last One and a half years ago and she is very committed and hardworking in whatever she had been instructed by her own boss - Facilities Manager (me). Sometimes I don't really understand why other management team couldn't be bothered to take some initiative to assist me to solve the problems of job vacant for this important position of Risk Management Executive. Sometimes like I had being used by them for all the burden of responsibilities as a Facilities Manager for the 4th. time for JRM Services at Parcel B, Prime Minister Complex.
All Manager's, Engineer's and Supervisor's has got their own ego whenever being instructed by me. I'm very dissapointed with them anyway until I'm used my own power as a Facilities Manager by writing a Memo to them then only they will follow my instructions.
There are a lot of problems that need to be solved within a day but It has not being solved in a correct way anyway by most of the Manager's, Engineer's and Supervisor's. A Paradigm Shift need to be done by my side as Facilities Manager eventhough most of them couldn't accept it. I don't even care what do they really wanted and the only thing that I know, they have to obey whatever instructions from my side because those instructions are come from the Clients' itself.
Most of them like to relax and doesn't want to plan their works properly and keep forgetting then at later stage then I'm the one will get the blame from the Client's. I'm really don't understand why most of them like to postpone their work and will say "Tak Apelah, relaxlah Boss". This kind of attitude need to be erased from the typical Malay attitude that has being fixed into their mind from the last generation. We as one of the best Bumiputra Contractor in Malaysia must always keep our own pride so called "Over The Top" then only other Non - Bumiputra Contractor will always respect us.
Alhamdulillah, thanks to God again that at last, the Client's has given a good impression towards us because most of the defect works had been solved by our side in a correct manner and InsyaAllah starting from this year onwards, our side as the only that has got to lead on this Maintenance & Facilities Comprehensive Contract will get into a success route till the year of 2016. (to continue another 3 years of contract from 2014)
